CVHS 9th grade email update for October 23rd, 2009
General Info:
- Mrs. Matsu is sponsoring two summer international trips. Both trips are
currently accepting students and parents. The day you sign up locks
in the price. Prices will go up November 1.
- Fall Harvest Dance
When: Friday, October 30th
Where: cafegymalocketorium
Time: 7-11 pm
$3 before event - We will start selling tickets during lunch 2 weeks before
the event.
$5 at the door
- CVHS students only
- We want the students to wear their best costumes!
- There will be prizes, music, and much more!

- We started Chapter 4 this week.
- Quiz over sections 4.1-4.5 on Friday 10/30
- Chapter 4 test will be on Monday 11/9
From Mr. Beall (Spanish I & II):
- Spanish I will take the test over Chap. 2A & B on Monday. We will
then continue to work on Chap. 3A (pgs. 129-141). Various homeworks and
readings will be assigned. There will be a quiz on Friday (or possibly the
following Monday) over Chap. 3A.
- Spanish II will continue to work on Chap. 2A (pgs. 90-96). Various homeworks
and readings will be assigned. There will be a quiz over Chap. 2A on Thursday
or Friday. We will then begin Chap. 2B.
From Ms. Huffman (Latin):
- It being the start of the 2nd grading cycle, Latin 1 will switch from
self-pacing to group scheduling, starting with completion activities for
Capitulum 3. Re-reading all 3 chapters is homework.
From Ms. Heno (French):
- French 1 will do an oral presentation about their families. They will
learn the formation and usage of -er and –ir verbs. French 2 will
finish the 9 weeks test and begin chapter 4.
