From Ms. Bullis and Ms. Harris (English I):
Ms. Bullis
- TP-CASTT packet is due 2/4 for a quiz grade. The packet can be downloaded
from the class website under the assignments page.
- Poetry test is 2/5.
- Graphic Novel Project is due 2/8! (Originally assigned 1/8.) Monday, 2/1
is the last day I will give feedback for any thesis statements, outlines,
or rough drafts for the essay portion of the project.
- Students need a copy of Romeo and Juliet by 2/11. There is a copy in the
literature textbook, but any copy is fine as long as the original text is
there and not just a translated or modernized version. If there is any confusion,
email me the publisher or the ISBN # and I will confirm if the copy is acceptable
for class.
- Please have students check to see if they have any school copies of Great
Expectations or The Odyssey. Copies were checked out from me but never returned,
so I am missing about 20 copies total.

Ms. Harris
- We will review essay writing for the first of the week. Students need
to bring their thesis statements and/or any rough drafts they have for their
graphic novel essay in order to receive feedback and make any adjustments
before it is due Monday 2/8.
- They will turn in their Poetry Journal on Thursday 2/4 (the assignment
and the handouts are posted on the class website ewharris.webs.com)
- They will have a Poetry Test on Friday 2/5. More information will be posted
on the class website soon.

- The Hot Zone quiz #2 on Monday over part 2 of the book.
- Bring a piece of clean transparent #6 plastic by Monday. This plastic
can be commonly found in the bakery section of grocery stores. We will take
it up until Wednesday for full credit. Thursday it will be considered a
late grade.

word problems involving systems of equations

- The Chapter 7 test is on Tuesday 2/9
From Mr. Beall (Spanish I & II):
- Span. I will continue working on Chap. 6A this week. Various readings
and written assignments will be expected of them covering pages 275 - 287.
On Tuesday there will be a test over Chap. 5A & 5B.

- The Capitulum 6 exercitia are weekend homework. We continue into Capitulum

- Item, the JCL spring chocolate sale starts Monday and runs through 2/12.

- French 1 has a test on chapter 8 on Wednesday. French 2 will have a vocab
and passé compose vs imparfait quiz on Wednesday
From Ms. Casperson (Debate):
- Student Response Journal due every Friday.
From Ms. Harris (Communication Applications):
- We will begin our unit on Resume Writing and Job Interviews. The students
will be a part of a mock job interview at the end of the unit (later February)
and as a part of their grade will have to dress in business attire. More
details will come soon so you can have plenty of time to assemble their
interview outfit.
